Central CT Chambers of Commerce names new CEO

The 1,700-member Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce announced Monday that Vice President Katie D’Agostino will be named president and CEO effective July 1.

D’Agostino, who has been with the Bristol-based Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce since 2017, will replace Cindy Bombard, who is retiring as of June 30. Bombard, who has been affiliated with the Chamber since 2010, has been president and CEO since 2017.

Paul Lavoie, Connecticut’s chief manufacturing officer and board chair of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, said in a statement: “Over the past two years, Katie has been working very closely with Cindy on a well-designed and executed succession plan. Having Katie in this critical role will provide continuity for the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce and will keep us moving forward towards our vision of being the premier business organization in the Central Connecticut region.”

In a statement, D’Agostino, who grew up in Plainville and lives in Bristol, said she is “committed to the businesses and communities in this region. Together, we can continue to be one region, one voice.”
