Central Connecticut State University in New Britain said it will roll out a $150,000 student recruitment ad campaign this week that was designed not by an area PR firm, but by its own students.
CCSU hired 12 students on a part-time basis over the summer — including public relations, marketing, communications, media production and design majors and minors — to create a student recruitment campaign, which will run on cable television, billboards, bus stops, mall kiosks and online for the next three months.
The group was advised by one of the school’s public relations officials, but largely wrote, filmed, acted and edited on their own, CCSU said.
The theme of the campaign is ‘See yourself at CCSU.’
