Central Connecticut State University broke ground Wednesday morning on its first new student residence hall in over a decade.
The New Britain school said the eight-story, 220,000-square-foot dorm will house more than 150 residential suites with more than 600 beds.
The design builder is Providence’s Dimeo Construction Co., which has a New Haven office. The architect is Glastonbury’s S/L/A/M Collaborative.
CCSU plans to move students into the new building in for the fall 2015 semester.
