CCAT wins $6M grant from U.S. Air Force

East Hartford’s Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. is receiving a $6 million federal grant to develop tools for supply chain companies that manufacture metal and composite materials for the U.S. Force,Rep. John B.Larson announced Monday morning. 

The five-year contract is being awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory. CCAT will partner with machine manufacturers and machining optimization software companies in Connecticut to demonstrate efficient machining processes for parts made of aerospace alloys and composites.
