A Fed bank researcher and a Wall Street economist will headline the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s third annual Connecticut economic outlook conference Monday in Hartford.
Simon M. Potter, executive vice president and director of economic research for the research and statistics group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Andres Carbacho-Burgos, an economist with Moody’s Economy.com, are the keynote speakers for the event at the Connecticut Convention Center.
Potter will discuss how the Fed’s decisions will affect Connecticut business and explain tools developed to help prevent the economy from sliding back into a recession. Carbacho-Burgos will focus on how the recovery is progressing and what needs to happen to keep the economy moving forward.
