The insurance arm of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association is getting new leadership.
CBIA Service Corp. announced Thursday that its longtime President Philip Vogel is retiring June 30 and will be replaced by Ken Comeau, the organization’s current senior vice president.
The transition will occur July 1.
The service corporation is the division that manages CBIA’s private healthcare exchange for small businesses, CBIA Health Connections.
Vogel, who joined the service corporation in 1987 as senior vice president, spearheaded development of Health Connections in 1995.
“Phil’s leadership and expertise will be greatly missed,” said Joe Brennan, CBIA president and CEO. “He guided CBIA Service Corp. through challenging times, leading the entire Health Connections team as they provide an outstanding product to thousands of small businesses and help them understand and navigate the complexities of healthcare regulations.”
Comeau, who joined CBIA Service Corp. in 1990 as director of product development, was later named vice president of sales, products, and services.
Comeau will be responsible for all products and services offered through the CBIA Service Corp., including Health Connections.
