The Connecticut Business & Industry Association is offering a free six week training program on energy-related careers to people living in the Hartford and Enfield labor markets.
The new Academic Skills Enhancement for Energy-Related Careers is designed to increase critical thinking, math skills and applied technology skills. The course is geared toward preparing students for aptitude tests that are necessary for industry certification.
The full-day program starts Feb. 27. Those interested need to attend an orientation from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 10 at 34 Sequassen St. in Hartford.
Students must be at least 18 years old, resident in the Hartford or Enfield labor market, be unemployed or underemployed, have a high school diploma and have a valid driver’s license.
