The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) has kicked off its second annual “Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut” competition, offering up a widely varied selection of 16 products that will challenge for the title.
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) has kicked off its second annual “Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut” competition, offering up a widely varied selection of 16 products that will challenge for the title.
The 2025 competition bracket was unveiled on Thursday in a video posted on CBIA’s website.
The inaugural competition was held last year, with the Virginia class submarine produced by Electric Boat in Groton as the winner. More than 115,000 votes were cast online during the 2024 competition.
This year’s 16-item bracket includes food — for both humans and dogs — as well as beer, clothing, a therapy and specialty items manufactured in the state.

Voting in the single-elimination competition begins Aug. 21, with the winner to be announced in October.
The 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut competition is supported by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and CONNSTEP, as well as by Image Marketing, Blue Back Square, Medtronic and the state Office of Manufacturing.
