A 13.4-acre Catholic religious retreat and conference center in Farmington with overnight accommodations for 60 visitors has recently gone on the market for $4.5 million.
After closing late last year, the Our Lady of Calvary Retreat center at 29 Colton St. has been listed with Colliers.
The hillside religious retreat has been operated for more than 65 years by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion Inc., a Catholic congregation also known as the Passionate Sisters.
The site includes a three-story, 27,832-square-foot main building completed in 1970, with overnight accommodations for about 60 guests, along with meeting rooms, offices and a dining facility. A separate four-bedroom, 2,472-square-foot house, also built in 1970, is located on the property.
According to the Colliers listing, the property is in a residential zone that allows single-family houses and child care facilities. With a special permit, the zone accommodates educational uses, day cares, rehab centers, nursing homes, certain hospitality uses, charitable uses and more, according to the listing.
Keith Kumnick and James Basquil are the brokers for the property.
