Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun continue to show declining slot revenue year over year in November. The two casinos have formed a joint corporation in hopes of opening a third casino.
Foxwoods Resort Casino reported slot revenue of $38 million for the month of November, down 0.2 percent from a year earlier. Handle for the month was $465.7 million, down 0.5 percent from the $468 million wagered in the same month in 2014.
More money was wagered at Mohegan Sun than a year ago, but the casino’s slots profits were also down. Mohegan Sun reported a 1 percent decline in November slots revenue of $47.6 million, down about $500,000 from November 2014. Its handle of $579.3 million was up $4.4 million compared to a year ago.
MMCT Venture, the company formed by the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes to potentially build a third Connecticut casino, said it will postpone its decision on which town will host the casino.
