Farmington’s Carrier Corp. completed transfer of its heating-air conditioning-ventilation sales and distribution assets to its joint venture with distributor Watsco Inc.
The companies announced Monday that they officially closed the previously disclosed deal on Friday, adding about $80 million a year in sales to the venture. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.Â
Carrier’s HVAC distribution operations in Mexico have 90 employees and six locations.
Watsco, based in Coconut Grove, Fla., owns 60 percent of the joint venture and Carrier 40 percent.
Watsco is the largest distributor of air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration products in the U.S.
Carrier is a unit of United Technologies Corp.
