Carrier Corp. in Farmington has sold its Canadian refrigeration-controls unit to Parker Hannafin Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio.
Carrier sold Micro Thermo Technologies, which makes chiller controls for supermarket applications, for an undisclosed sum.
Quebec-based Micro Thermo had 2009 revenues of approximately $10 million and 50 employees.
The transaction comes nearly a year after Carrier’s exit from the North American commercial refrigeration segment as part of its strategy to increasingly focus on its core growth platforms.
Carrier is a division of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford.
