Carrier, Habitat for Humanity dedicate energy efficient home

Farmington heating and cooling manufacturer Carrier Corp. and Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity dedicated a new energy efficient home on Wednesday in Hartford.

The new house on Pliny Street – new home to Cameel and Joseph Hippolyte – uses environmentally friendly building techniques, materials and appliances and is Energy Star qualified.

This is the 13^th Habitat project supported by Carrier in the Hartford area. Internationally, the company supported 125 homes, providing more than $4 million.

The Hippolytes will move into the home by the end of March.
