Air-handling equipment maker Carrier Corp. in Farmington has acquired a Georgia independent contractor that installs Carrier’s air- and lighting-control systems in school, government and hospital buildings, and commercial structures.
Carrier’s Automated Logic Corp., which makes those systems, bought 20-year-old RCMS Controls Inc. for an undisclosed price. RCMS, based in Kennesaw, Ga., has a Wallingford office.
RCMS principal Bob Marra and the firm’s management team will continue in their respective roles, Carrier said.
“It was a natural fit for RCMS to become a branch office for Automated Logic,” said Lauren Kolb, president, Automated Logic Corp. “We have had a strong partnership for over 20 years and share the same core business values of technology leadership, employee development and a commitment to customer satisfaction.”
Carrier is a division of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford.
