Carlton Fields relos CT office to Hartford

This is an updated version of an earlier story.

Florida insurance-financial services law firm Carlton Fields Jorden Burt has officially made downtown Hartford its Connecticut base. Its move to One State Street was effective Monday.

Currently, 12 attorneys and nine professionals are temporarily housed in about 12,700 square feet on the 15th floor, awaiting final buildout of 15,000 square feet of permanent space on the 18th floor by summer, Carlton Fields spokeswoman Kate Barth said via email Tuesday.

As previously reported, Carlton Fields Jorden Burt, of Tampa, had chosen the 24-story office tower as the new home for its satellite office that had been in about 8,400 square feet at 175 Powder Forest Drive in Simsbury for a decade.

“Given our investment in serving these industries, relocating our Connecticut office to Hartford was a very natural and important step for us,” Anthony Cicchetti, Carlton Fields’ managing shareholder of the Connecticut office said in a statement. “We are also excited about Hartford’s resurgence as a corporate center.”
