Hartford home health care benefits manager CareCentrix has named John Driscoll, the former president of a California health care software maker, as its CEO.
Driscoll replaces Eric Reimer, who was serving in an interim role.
Driscoll served as president of Castlight Health, which is based in San Francisco, since May 2012. Prior to that, he worked for nine years as an executive for Medco, a pharmacy benefit management company, which was acquired by Express Scripts for $29 billion in 2011.
“CareCentrix is extremely well positioned to reduce costs to the health care system while improving patient outcomes through the delivery of quality health care into millions of homes across the country,” Driscoll said in a statement.
CareCentrix services include coordination of home nursing, home infusion and home medical equipment. The company has a national network of 10,000 credentialed home healthcare providers and customer care centers.
