A developer is seeking approval to build a new car wash in Simsbury’s Dorset Crossing planned area development, according to site plans and architectural documents.
The proposal calls for a 7,050-square-foot, one-story “Diamond Sparkle Carwash” on a roughly 1.08-acre parcel at 10 Dorset Crossing.
Plans show a facility with multiple service components, including automatic soft-touch and touchless wash tunnels, self-service bays and detailing areas, along with an office and equipment room. The site layout includes circulation lanes, vacuum stations and a small parking area.
The project is part of a master plan modification within the larger Dorset Crossing mixed-use development.
The proposal is scheduled for a preliminary application review by the town’s Zoning Commission on April 6.
