Hartford intellectual property law firm Cantor Colburn has hired five attorneys with science training — most of them recent law school graduates.
Jared Howenstine, who has a bachelor’s degree in physics and astrophysics, has worked as an IP attorney for five years. He has counseled IP holders in industries ranging from mechanical medical devices to oilfield exploration.
Adam I. Bercowetz recently graduated from New England School of Law. He has a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and legal studies.
Benjamin Marcus, who has bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, graduated in May from Western New England School of Law.
Nicholas Stadnyk, who has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, recently graduated from the UConn School of Law with a concentration in IP.
And Ross Yaylaian is a recent graduate of Suffolk University Law School, with a patent law concentration.
