Six Connecticut-based cancer specialists have joined Hackensack, N.J.-based Regional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA), a national physician-owned and –operated oncology network, RCCA announced this week.
The Connecticut cancer specialists joining RCCA are Drs. Charanjeev S. Kapoor, Joseph F. McLaughlin, Mohammad Pazooki, Michael A. Reale, Joel S. Silver and Joseph G. Sinning. This new division of RCCA has practice locations in Hartford and Manchester and the doctors’ hospital affiliations include St. Francis in Hartford, Manchester Memorial in Manchester, and Rockville General in Vernon.
RCCA, which says it’s one of the largest oncology physician networks in the U.S., includes more than 100 cancer care specialists and is supported by 800 employees at 30 sites.

Reale said the evolution of healthcare delivery is pushing physicians to affiliate with larger entities. One draw for doctors is that RCCA offers clinical research projects and trials to physicians and their patients, he added.
