Butler Equipment in West Hartford recently received awards from Sweden manufacturer Husqvarna and Maryland-based Wright Manufacturing for their yearly performance. The first award is the 2015 Outstanding Commercial Sales award, which recognizes Butler Equipment as being Husqvarna's top commercial sales retailer in New England. The second award is the New England New Dealer of the Year award presented by Wright Manufacturing, which recognizes Butler Equipment for its outstanding performance and product sales.
Cindy Russo, senior vice president of operations at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, received the Woman of the Year Award from the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce. The Woman of the Year Award honors an exceptional woman whose accomplishments have resulted in significant contributions to her industry and/or community. Russo began her career at MidState Medical Center in 2007 and currently serves on the board of the Quinnipiac Chamber.
Pratt & Whitney was recently named the 2015 recipient of the Middlesex County, Connecticut NAACP Larry McHugh Business Award, which recognizes a business in the county that has shown a commitment to women, families and people of color. The National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals has selected CPA Dana Wilson Jr., of Grant Thornton in Rocky Hill,as one of the 2015 “Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals” in Connecticut. The accountants who make the “Top 10” list demonstrate an extensive amount of knowledge, skill, experience and success in the field of accounting. Wilson is currently a Grant Thornton partner, where he leads the insurance industry audit practice.
