The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts’ fledgling venue-management division has been hired for a second season to manage Windsor’s SS&C SummerWind Performing Arts Center.
Bushnell Management Services in Hartford got an unspecified contract to run the 3,700-seat outdoor venue for the 2011 season.
SS&C SummerWind President Douglas Kerr said Bushnell’s inaugural performance in 2010 warranted a repeat.
Launched in 2010. Bushnell Management also manages of Rentschler Field in East Hartford, where the UConn Huskies and Hartford Colonials UFL football teams play.
SummerWind’s 2011 season kicks off with the Steve Miller Band on Aug. 12 and Gregg Allman with special guests Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and Bela Fleck & The Flecktones will perform on Aug. 26.Â
