Wallingford construction and engineering consultant Burns & McDonnell will start its program management role for the Pennsylvania portion of the Susquehanna-Roseland transmission project.
The project consists of laying 101 miles of 500-kV overhead transmission line. Burns estimates the job will create 2,000 over its three-year construction period.
The program management role include stakeholder management, planning, safety management, engineering review, cost controls, document controls, environmental monitoring, scheduling, procurement, and construction management.
Burns has set up an office in Allentown, Pa. as the main location for the work, although the team will be supported by the New England headquarters in Wallingford and the international headquarter in Kansas City, Mo.
