An Illinois-based distributor of specialty building products for the residential and commercial market continues to expand its Universal Supply division in Hartford County.
Private-equity backed US LBM, which has multiple business divisions operating several hundred locations in about 30 states, announced this week that it has opened a Manchester roofing and siding store.
The 166 Colonial Road store is the second Universal Supply location in Connecticut. The New Jersey-based US LBM division made its Connecticut debut back in February with the opening of a Newington store at 36 Holly Dr.
US LBM is owned by New York-based Kelso Private Equity and reported $3.3 billion in sales during 2018. The company also owns East Haven Builders Supply, with locations in East Haven and Newtown.
