Mayor Luke Bronin’s re-election campaign says it’s raised more than $500,000 during the first three months of 2019.
The Luke Bronin for Hartford campaign announced the incumbent’s fundraising tally Tuesday afternoon on the heels of Wednesday’s deadline for all candidates to report their first-quarter earnings.
Bronin in January became the third candidate to enter September’s mayoral primary race, and is now joined by three others vying for his seat, including former Mayor Eddie Perez, who announced his own re-election bid last week.
Forrest Richardson, the campaign manager for Bronin’s re-election bid, said the 39-year-old will be knocking on doors and meeting with city residents ahead of the primary election on Sept. 10.
Hartford’s mayoral field also includes State Rep. Brandon McGee, Hartford Public Schools board chair Craig Stallings, TV entrepreneur J. Stan McCauley and author and entrepreneur Aaron Lewis.
