Carl Russell, senior commercial broker in the Milford office of Pearce Real Estate, and DeForest W. Smith shared the 2018 Dealmaker Award at the recent CCIM Connecticut Chapter Dealmaker Awards and 2019 Officer Installation Dinner. The award was given for arranging the 1031 tax-deferred exchange of a Milford property with a former Dollar General store in Ashford. The transaction, valued at $1,982,500, closed in March of this year.

U.S. Home Services, LLC has leased a 1,280-square-foot unit at 375 Morgan La., West Haven. Christopher Downey, U.S. Home Services president, says his home-construction service business will use the unit for general office use and warehousing of supplies related to the business. The landlord is John C. D’Amato, Jr. Bill Clark of the Geenty Group, Realtors, was the sole broker in this transaction.
