Boston independent insurance broker William Gallagher Associates, with offices in Hartford, is acquiring Paradigm Associates, a Braintree, Mass., health and welfare benefit plan consultant.
Terms were not disclosed.
Paradigm Associates started in 1995 and today has 85 clients mostly in health care, technology and financial services. Its 2009 revenue was $3.4 million.
Founded in 1983, WGA provides insurance brokerage, risk management and employee benefit services to companies involved in life sciences, technology, financial risks, health care, aviation, energy and clean tech, and environmental services.
“With this acquisition, WGA continues to expand its leadership role as New England’s largest independent insurance brokerage firm.” said WGA Chairman and CEO Philip J. Edmundson.
Its other offices are in New York City; Atlanta; Columbia, Md.; Princeton, N.J.; and Paris.
