Editor’s Note: An earlier version misstated the WSP’s headquarters. The Madison office also is now open.
British environmental and sustainability consultant, WSP Environment & Energy, is preparing to open an East Coast regional office in Connecticut.
James Hiller was named senior vice president in charge of the office that opened this week at 71 Bradley Road, Suite 10, in Madison that has four employees.
Plans are to boost at least more people with backgrounds in environmental science or geology, Hiller said Friday.
Hiller will be responsible for business development, operations, client care, and growth performance in the Eastern Division, the company said.
Hiller previously spent nine years with British firm Environmental Resources Management, where he was a partner in the Northeast U.S., based in East Hartford.
Hiller has an MS in environmental management and is a certified industrial hygienist.
WSP Environment & Energy is a unit of Britain’s WSP Group.
