Bristol will receive $200,000 in federal funding to study flooding along the Pequabuck River, authorities say.
Congressman John Larson (D-CT) will join Bristol Mayor Art Ward on Thursday to announce the U.S. Economic Development Administration grant for the Bristol-Plainville-Plymouth Pequabuck River Flooding Study.
The money will help Bristol and the surrounding towns develop effective flood mitigation projects within the flood plain.
