Bristol logistics company bringing warehouse robots to North America

Bristol’s Conveyco Technologies Inc., which designs and implements automated fulfillment and distribution systems, is teaming with a Chinese technology company to bring its robots to warehouse floors across North America.

Conveyco, headquartered on 47 Commerce Dr., says it recently inked a new distribution partnership with Geek+ that will allow the companies to deploy autonomous mobile robots, or ARMs, to their clients in retail, e-commerce, omnichannel and logistics.

The partnership, Conveyco says, allows their customers to replace repetitive warehouse tasks with unmanned robots. The hope is that the Geek+ technology will help Conveyco’s clients improve efficiency, flexibility and reduce costs associated with warehouse and logistics operations in various industries.

The distribution agreement surfaces as logistics operations face labor shortages amid an uptick in e-commerce sales during COVID-19 outbreak.

“The demonstrated efficiency, scalability and cost-saving of Geek+ solutions will bring significant value and enable flexible logistics for customers across industries, at a time where logistics bottlenecks are increasing,” said Rick DeFiesta, a partnership and business development director at Geek+, which operates 10,000 robots worldwide.
