Bristol Hospital has officially opened its larger, state-of-the-art in-patient pharmacy.
The round-the-clock facility located on the hospital’s Level B is double the size of the previous pharmacy and features a cutting-edge clean room for preparation of sterile products and a secure walk-in vault for the security of controlled substances.
Hospital officials said moving the pharmacy location is a first step toward achieving the hospital’s future expansion plans and provides a footprint to implement design plans and begin construction on three new full-service health centers including; Beekley Center for Breast Health and Wellness, Bernie J. Guida Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab Center and the Sleep Disorders Center.
