Bristol aerospace manufacturer Barnes Group Inc. was awarded a multiyear, $30 million contract with multinational defense contractor Northrop Grumman to make missile parts.
Northrop Grumman awarded the contract to Barnes Aerospace, a unit of Barnes Group, to make metallic parts for its B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber Tailpipe Mid/Aft Assembly Full Fleet Replacement Program, Barnes said Monday.
“We look forward to continuing our support of the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber program with Northrop Grumman,” said Barnes Aerospace President Mike Beck.
The contract comes after a difficult pandemic-packed year for Barnes. The company reported a nearly 60% drop in profits in 2020, as sales for the year fell by about 25%.
