Bridgeport state rep. to get Superior Court nod

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said he intends to nominate Rep. Auden Grogins, D-Bridgeport, for a state Superior Court judgeship.

As a result, she will not be sworn into her elected seat during Wednesday’s inauguration ceremonies. She was not opposed for reelection in November.

Grogins was first elected in 2008 and has practiced law for 24 years.

She previously served on the Bridgeport City Council and the Bridgeport Board of Education. She earned her law degree from Quinnipiac University.
