Soon-to-be brides have a new place to shop for their big day, as a Mystic-based boutique has expanded with a new location in Branford.
Love Bird Bridal Shop has leased 1,700 square feet at 780 East Main St. in Branford.
It is the second bridal boutique for business owner Andrea Burr, who also has a shop at 47 Holmes St. in Mystic.
Kristin Geenty, president of The Geenty Group, was the sole broker in the transaction. The landlord is Massey Properties LLC. According to Geenty, the lease is for one year, with the option to renew.
Burr is also a designer behind the Andria Bird bridal line, one of many gown and accessories collections carried at her shops.
Burr got into the business about a decade ago. When a friend got engaged and started searching for a bridal gown, Burr says she “fell in love with veils, gowns and everything in between.”
She opened her first bridal shop, Andria Bird Bride, in 2012 in Newport, Rhode Island, where she lived at the time. Burr later moved to Connecticut, prompting her to open a shop in Mystic, and now, Branford.
