A large warehouse and manufacturing facility recently sold in Milford for $14.9 million, and an area craft brewer, Athletic Brewing Co., plans to use it for some of its operations.
The property, at 75 Cascade Blvd., includes a 150,000-square-foot building on approximately 11 acres.
A limited liability corporation, 75 Cascade Blvd. LLC, purchased the site, according to Chris O’Hara, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial, who announced the sale.
The facility will undergo substantial renovations to accommodate the brewery, which will lease the site, according to O’Hara. The brewery’s future Milford operations are expected to bring approximately 90 to 100 jobs.
Athletic Brewing, which is based in Stratford, makes craft non-alcoholic beer with names like Run Wild, Upside Dawn and Free Wave.
The company has been experiencing rapid growth. In early 2020, it announced it had purchased a brewery in San Diego, Calif. It also recently raised $50 million from investors.
The company plans to maintain its Stratford location, and the Milford space will be an expansion of its operations.
Athletic Brewing did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
