BREAKING NEW GROUND

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford broke ground for the John T. O’Connell Tower, which will house a new emergency department, operating rooms, medical surgical patient beds, helipad and rooms for the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute. The building was funded in part by a gift from Daniel and Nancy O’Connell after the death of their son. Pictured, from left, are: C.
