Dan Brdar has left his final position with Danbury clean energy provider FuelCell Energy, Inc., more than a month after he stepped down as president and CEO.
Brdar resigned as CEO and president in February but stayed on as chairman until the board of directors until a replacement could be named. On March 25, the board elected John Rolls as the new chairman.
Brdar will not seek re-election to the board. He was CEO of the company since 2006. For the past two years, Fuel Cell has posted combined losses of $130 million, despite revenue reaching $160 million over that span.
Since resigning in February, Brdar has taken the chief operating officer position with Petra Solar in New Jersey.
Rolls has been on the board of directors since 2000. He is the managing partner of Core Capital Group and previously served as president and CEO of Deutsche Bank North America. He also was executive vice president and chief financial officer for United Technologies Corp., based in Hartford.
Chip Bottone, former FuelCell senior vice president and chief commercial officer, succeeded Brdar as president and CEO on Feb. 9.
