Richard V. Branigan has been named the new regional CEO of the American Red Cross covering Connecticut and Rhode Island.
He replaces Mario Bruno, who served as the region’s CEO for 12 years before accepting a leadership position with the national American Red Cross this past October.
Branigan joined the Red Cross in 2012, most recently serving as chief operating officer for the Connecticut and Rhode Island region. Throughout his tenure, he has served in interim roles in nearly every aspect of the regional functions, including interim regional CEO for the past several months and on more than one occasion.
