A vacant parcel of development land in Branford has been sold for more than $2 million.
The 6.3-acre development site sits at 819-841 East Main St., along the busy commercial stretch of Route 1, on the North Branford and Guilford town lines.Â
The land was sold by Sullivan Farm LLC and principal James J. Sullivan of Guilford to 819 East Main Street LLC and principals James W. Biondi and Thomas Abbenante for $2.2 million in a deal recorded June 13.
It has a total appraised value of more than $1.1 million.

Development plans for a new medical facility are in the works. The parcel sits next to 2995 Boston Post Road, Guilford, a 90-acre parcel where plans for a mixed-use development with apartments and a sports facility are in the works.
