Bradley International Airport now offers travelers biometric identity verification

Frequent travelers have a new, time-saving option at Bradley International Airport, for a price.

CLEAR, a biometric identity verification technology service company, has launched at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, the company announced. For $189 a year, CLEAR Plus members can use dedicated lanes to verify their identity with their eyes or fingers, instead of taking out their wallet and driver’s license. After this verification, CLEAR staff will escort a subscriber through the dedicated lane and directly to TSA physical security rather than waiting in line at the security checkpoint.

According to the company, CLEAR already serves nine of Bradley’s top 10 domestic destinations. The operation at Bradley is expected to create 23 jobs and generate about $1.2 million in local economic activity every year, CLEAR representatives said.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in New York City, CLEAR is offered at 52 airports and boasts 15 million members, the company said.
