United Airlines on Monday launched its first nonstop flight from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks to Houston, Texas, officials said.
First announced in May, the daily non-stop flight adds to United’s existing service to Bradley from Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.
Bradley saw an 11 percent increase in passengers between January and August compared to the same eight months last year, according to the Connecticut Airport Authority.
The Houston flights are operated by Mesa Airlines, which is one of the regional airlines doing business under the name United Express.
