The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) today will announce a new COVID-19 testing partnership at Bradley International Airport.
Bradley, in partnership with a Connecticut-based lab, will launch a testing site for airport employees and passengers, according to CAA, which oversees Bradley.Â
The move comes after Gov. Ned Lamont altered travel guidelines to and from areas with high rates of COVID-19 infection.Â
Previously, Lamont’s executive order required people traveling into Connecticut from a list of 33 restricted U.S. states and territories  to quarantine for 14 days. Earlier this month, Lamont eased restrictions to allow travelers to avoid the two-week quarantine if they test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arriving at Bradley.
CAA Executive Director Kevin Dillon, CAA board chair Tony Sheridan and state Treasurer and CAA board member Shawn Wooden will announce the partnership at a 2 p.m. press conference at Bradley.
