Power has been restored at Bradley International Airport after its main power source failed early Monday morning, officials said.
In a series of Tweets Monday, the airport announced at about 4:40 a.m. that its main power source was down and that terminal A was operating on backup power. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) also suspended operations as power was lost in screening areas.
Power was temporarily restored within a half hour and was lost again at about 5:45 a.m., airport officials said. Partial power was restored at 7 a.m. and TSA screening resumed a half hour later as the roadway access remained closed.
All operations were up and running again at 8:50 a.m., according to airport officials.
As of 9:15 a.m., four flights were delayed before 1 p.m.
Airport officials reminded travelers to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
