A new sit-down restaurant has opened at Bradley International Airport as part of an ongoing effort to expand dining options.
The Connecticut Airport Authority said Urban Lodge Brewing Co. is now operating in the airport’s airside concourse, past security. The restaurant serves beer brewed by the Hartford- and Manchester-based company along with a full food menu.
Urban Lodge occupies the airport’s largest dining space, previously home to Black Bear Saloon.
The airport authority is working with food service operator SSP America on the expansion.
Additional dining concepts are planned to open later this year, including a full-service location from Sparrow Pizza in the Gates 1-12 concourse and a Chick-fil-A in the airport food court. Officials said more national and in-house brands will be announced.
