BP Products North America is teaming with a Rhode Island fuel distributor to expanding BP’s retail brand into New England, including Connecticut.
BP said it signed a supply agreement with distribution partner Green Valley Oil LLC in Providence, R.I.
The agreement will re-brand 246 existing retail locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, with a total of 65 BP sites to be introduced specifically within the Hartford and New Haven areas over the next several months.
About 235 of the stations, including more than 20 in the greater Hartford area, currently carry the Getty brand.Â
BP Products North America supplies more than 15 billion gallons of gasoline for U.S. consumer and commercial use each year. Nearly 10,000 BP stations currently service markets east of the Rocky Mountains, while BP is represented by its ARCO brand at another 2,000 stations on the West Coast.Â
