BOWLING FOR CHARITY

Boston Celtics players teamed up with television celebrities to roll strikes for charity during Paul Pierce’s Truth Strikes Again bowling tournament at High Rollers at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The tournament, hosted by Billy Costa of NECN’s TV Diner program, raised more than $300,000 for the Celtics captain’s “Truth on Health” initiative. Among those on hand were Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos; “Law & Order” star Anthony Anderson; Pierce’s teammates Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins and Glen “Big Baby” Davis; Boston Red Sox star Kevin Youkilis and celebrity chef Ming Tsai. The Truth on Health Campaign seeks to encourage young people to lead healthier lifestyles. Above left, Pierce greets Rodney Butler, chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council.
