Webster Bank said it has tapped Bank of America executive Leslie Robertson as senior vice president of commercial banking.
In his new role, Robertson — formerly senior vice president and senior client manager of foreign direct investment at Bank of America in Hartford — will guide international business strategies for Webster, support U.S. subsidiaries of foreign corporations based in the Northeast, and assist domestic companies with exporting.
Robertson is chairman of the MetroHartford Alliance’s International Business Council and an executive board member of the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.
Webster said it hired Robertson over the summer.
