Bobby Flay to reopen Mohegan Sun restaurant next month

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay will be at Mohegan Sun in May to officially unveil his revamped Bobby’s Burgers restaurant.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held May 21 with Flay in attendance, although the spot has already started welcoming guests as part of a soft opening.

Bobby’s Burger Palace, a mainstay at the casino, closed down in February to accommodate the rebrand and interior upgrades.

Casino officials say those include an updated design, new menu and streamlined counter service that allows for faster ordering and pick-up.

The Mohegan Sun restaurant is one of the brand’s largest locations in the U.S. and now shares design elements consistent with the 10 other Bobby’s Burgers outlets including those in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Bobby Flay’s is located at the casino resort’s Winter Entrance next to Frank Pepe’s.

Mohegan Sun is promising that as part of the re-opening celebration, Flay will step behind the counter, working alongside his kitchen team to prep orders for guests.
