West Hartford accounting firm BlumShapiro has merged with a suburban Boston firm, giving the regional company three offices in New England’s largest metropolis.
The merger with Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon PC of Newton, Mass. went into effect Wednesday, the first day of the new year. The move gives BlumShapiro offices in Boston, Newton, and Quincy, Mass., along with its locations in West Hartford and Providence, R.I.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The merger adds 24 staff, including four partners, to give BlumShapiro 380 employees in New England.
BlumShapiro Managing Partner Carl Johnson said the addition of Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon PC strengthens his company’s tax, audit, and business consulting expertise.
