Blumenthal: Pedophiles use MySpace

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and seven other attorneys say that thousands of sex offenders are registered with the networking site MySpace.com and indicated in a letter to the company that MySpace needs to pass on the offenders’ names and addresses. In December, the officials hired Sentinel Tech Holdings to check the site for registered sex offenders, part of a push for the site to verify users’ age and require parental permission for younger users. Blumenthal held a press conference this morning, calling MySpace “a playground for predators seeking to prey children.”
