West Hartford-based accounting-consulting firm Blum, Shapiro & Co. announced today it has merged with Shelton-based Nishball, Carp, Niedermeier, Pacowta & Co.
Terms were not disclsoed.
The new entity, known as Blum Shapiro, has 300 professional and administrative staff with offices in West Hartford, Shelton and Southport, Connecticut and New York.
“This merger strengthens our services to businesses in Fairfield County,” said Carl R. Johnson, Blum Shapiro managing partner. “NCNP has distinguished itself in serving privately held businesses and non-profits, and we were pleased to find that our firms share values and visions of quality and personal service.”
Seven NCNP principals and 23 staff members will continue to serve their existing clients, as well as new Blum Shapiro clients.
Former NCNP managing principal Michael Niedermeier will head Blum Shapiro’s Southern Connecticut offices as partner-in-charge. Also joining Blum Shapiro will be
partners Christopher Gallo, Stanley Carp, Michael Jodon, Thomas Walsh, Jane Sabatini and principal William Holden.
Blum Shapiro provides tax, audit and consulting services to privately businesses, government entities and nonprofits.
